The Oahu Heart Walk on Saturday, Aug. 13 at Kapiolani Park is designed to bring families and friends together to learn, share and practice lifestyle habits that will lead to healthier, longer lives free of heart disease and stroke.
Event Details
Participants are encouraged to raise money to support the Association’s work to end heart disease and stroke, and improve Hawaii resident’s health.
On-site registration event festivities begin at 6:30 a.m. and the Walk kicks off at 7:30 a.m. The non-competitive walk features course options of a family-friendly 4.5 mile around Diamond Head or a one mile option around Kapiolani Park. A post-walk celebration at the Park will offer opportunities for free health screenings, health education tables, a chance to learn “hands-only” CPR, and a keiki fun tent. Live entertainment and healthy snacks will also be offered.
