Hospice Hawaii’s 2016 Hall of Heroes are:

Harriet “Nona” Fukuoka, a selfless woman willing to help children and adults alike
Tristan James “TJ” Fernandez, a pediatric patient who, despite an inoperable brain stem tumor, lived life to the fullest and inspired the 2015-16 Rainbow Warriors basketball team to endure a season of adversity

“Na Hoa Malama is a cherished tradition for Hospice Hawaii,” said Kenneth L. Zeri, president and CPO of Hospice Hawaii. “Our commitment to caring for patients and their families serves as the foundation of our annual gala, which honors very special heroes and members of our community who have helped and inspired us throughout the year.”

At this year’s Na Hoa Malama, cool cats and dishy dames are encouraged to dress in their favorite flapper garb. Proceeds from Na Hoa Malama will benefit Hospice Hawaii’s programs and services. For table sponsorships and event information, call (808) 791-8075 or email nahoa@hospicehawaii.org.
